Plans for 2014
In 2014 the London Policing College will continue to develop its links with Abu Dhabi. We are aligning our team with the 48 operational units in order that we can provide trainers who are both specialist in the subjects being taught but also highly experienced in the area of policing that students work in. This means that each of our Board leads will have a number of Units which they can link with and that we can offer not simply training solutions but bespoke interventions to assist in workplace performance.
We have two significant proposals for work in Abu Dhabi: -
- An accredited Diploma for Road Policing progressing form entry to advanced level and addressing issues of leadership as well as specialist delivery
- A proposal for driver training building upon the expertise of Don Smith and Mike Cleary and our excellent team of qualified instructors
Our board members will link into the following units of work

During 2014 we will be running a series of workshops for serving officers to enable them to explore issues around our 4 key areas and develop their own personal development programmes. These will commence in the Spring and will be provided in locations in central London and across the UK.
